There's no denying the simplicity and convenience of disposable nappies, but they've never been very eco-friendly. That's why we were so pleased to discover the Bio Nappy; two-thirds of this nappy is degradable, while the remainder is environmentally neutral. The nappy core is cellulose-based, using wood from sustainable forests, and contains tea extract to soothe delicate skin. The waterproof outer covering is made from a GM-free cornstarch-based material, and features tiny pores that allow air to circulate around the nappy without risk of leaks. Sounds too good to be true, but happily our testers report that the Bio Nappy works just as well as any of its less environmentally aware competitors!

I just wanted to say thank-you for the sample of these nappies which you sent me. I must say, I am extremely impressed with their performance! I am trying to be a 'good girl' and use reuseables but often have times where I will resort to a disposablefor one reason or another, especially as an overnight nappy. I therefore decided to trial these nappies overnight.
On first using the nappies I noticed how soft they felt and totally unlike any other 'eco' nappy that I had tried and found to be rather stiff, and I could imagine, uncomfortable. They were also very lacking in bulk and I must admit, I wondered how they were ever going to soak up a whole night's wee!!!
Anyway, they went on and did up easily and fitted well. So, having changed my little boy, I put him to bed, not knowing what to expect in the morning! When morning, arrived, I expected to find one soggy baby. However, there was no wetness at all on the outside of the nappy - not even a spot of dampness and certainly no nasty whiffs of wee as might be expected after 12 hours in a nappy! They did a far better job than my normal popular brand name nappy and I will certainly be ordering in the near future!
